Griffin Jones Shara Gujranwali (Late)
is a major Christian poet of Urdu and Punjabi. He created three well known books of Urdu poetry namely Urfan-e-Salib, Saleebein Zinda Hain and Naqosh-e-Saleeb. He was honored with the title Allama means scholar or the one who is versed in literature, second title Saraj-e-Sukhan that means a lamp or sun of the words. Sharar, meaning sparks, is the poet's pen name. Allama Sharar moved to his heavenly home on December 27, 1999 in England.
